SafeContractor approved

At MechElecPro Solutions, safety has never been a box‑ticking exercise — it’s the backbone of how we work, how we support our clients, and how we protect the people who rely on us. Today, we’re proud to announce that we have officially achieved SafeContractor accreditation, a respected, industry‑recognised mark of excellence in health and safety management.

This accreditation isn’t just a badge. It’s a reflection of the standards we hold ourselves to every single day.

Why SafeContractor Matters

SafeContractor is one of the UK’s leading health and safety accreditation schemes, used by thousands of organisations to verify that contractors operate safely, responsibly, and in line with current legislation. For clients, it provides confidence. For contractors, it demonstrates professionalism and accountability.

For us, it reinforces something we’ve always believed: good engineering is safe engineering.

What the Accreditation Process Involved

Achieving SafeContractor status required us to demonstrate robust, well‑structured systems across several key areas:

1. Comprehensive Health & Safety Documentation

We provided detailed evidence of our policies, procedures, and risk controls — from RAMS and method statements to training records, equipment maintenance logs, and emergency procedures. This included showing how we manage hazards across food production, chemical, automotive, aerospace, and logistics environments.

2. Competence and Training

Our multi‑skilled engineering background was assessed to ensure that all work is carried out by competent, trained professionals. With over 17 years of hands‑on experience and continuous upskilling, we were able to demonstrate a strong culture of learning and technical excellence.

3. Evidence of Safe Working Practices

SafeContractor reviewed how we operate on client sites — including isolation procedures, permit‑to‑work compliance, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and machinery interventions. Our approach to clear communication, shift cover, and breakdown response played a key part in showcasing our reliability and discipline.

4. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

We demonstrated that safety isn’t static. From updating RAMS templates to refining internal processes and investing in better documentation systems, we showed that we’re always evolving to meet the highest standards.

What This Means for Our Clients

For our clients — both current and future — this accreditation provides:

  • Increased confidence that all work is carried out safely and professionally

  • Reduced risk when appointing contractors

  • Streamlined onboarding, as SafeContractor is widely recognised across industries

  • Assurance that compliance, documentation, and safety leadership are built into every job we undertake

Whether we’re providing temporary shift cover, planned maintenance, troubleshooting, or project support, clients can trust that our work meets independently verified safety standards.

A Step Forward — But Not the Finish Line

While we’re proud of this achievement, it’s not the end of the journey. Safety is something we revisit every day — on every site, with every task, and with every client interaction. SafeContractor accreditation strengthens our foundation, but our commitment goes far beyond the certificate.

We’ll continue refining our systems, investing in training, and building a culture where safety, quality, and integrity go hand in hand.

Thank You

A huge thank‑you to the clients who trust us, the peers who offered guidance, and everyone who has supported MechElecPro Solutions as we grow. This accreditation is a milestone we’re proud of — and a promise of the standards we’ll continue to uphold.

If you’d like to learn more about how our SafeContractor accreditation benefits your site or upcoming projects, we’re always happy to talk.
